JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the Technical Administration lies the Water and Waste Management Department. The department consists of 40 people divided into Water, Sewage, and Waste Management. The department has a turnover of 80 million SEK and operates 15 waterworks, 12 sewage treatment plants, 50 pumping stations, 80 miles of pipelines, property waste management, landfill, and recycling center.

We are looking for someone with knowledge in the water and sewage field, who is environmentally conscious and service-oriented. The position includes operation, process monitoring, sampling, and maintenance work on sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment plants. Repair work and other additional tasks in accordance with self-monitoring are also included. In your work, you will sometimes work alone on operational and supervisory rounds. The work is based at the Ljungby sewage treatment plant according to a rotating schedule for the municipality's water facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of process equipment.
• Participate in development projects to improve processes and energy efficiency.
• Ensure that the operations comply with applicable environmental and quality requirements.
• Document and report operational data and analyze results.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have technical knowledge through a water technician education at high school/university or similar education and/or work experience in the water and sewage field. Control and monitoring, process knowledge of water and sewage treatment, and IT knowledge in operational monitoring are desirable qualifications.

• Education in Technical Process Technology, Water Technology, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of control and regulation technology.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with on-call duty included. To succeed in the job, qualities such as attention to detail, initiative, teamwork ability, and flexibility are required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability to work in a group.
